Timberwolves FCA Day

River Falls FCA Huddles

In March every year the Minnesota Timberwolves extend invitations to FCA huddles around Minnesota and Wisconsin to attend a game and hear from a member of their team. River Falls has embraced the opportunity for a couple years, and this year had a special experience as the team sent their T-Wolves bus to pick them up!

Fields of Faith

We had approximately 500 people at Fields of Faith 2013 up from 160 at our first ever event! Many churches brought their youth groups, FCA huddles attended, and the Leader Telegram featured it in the Saturday Religion section! Check out the 2013 Pictures here.

Mondovi Huddle

Mascot: Buffalo

Meetings: We meet on Thursday mornings at 7:30am for speakers, snacks, Bible study, and discussion. We just started in the spring of 2013 and are off to a great start!

Recent FCA Speakers: As seen in the picture below, WEAU TV 13 Sportscaster Jenn Chapman came to share her testimony. We have also had Andrew Draper from FCA, Ellen Schroeder from UWEC's Track Team, Micah Ruf from UWEC's Football Team, and James Whatley from Peace Lutheran in Eau Claire, in to speak.

Cumberland Huddle

Mascot: Beavers

Meetings: We meet on Monday evenings at 7pm for fun, Bible study, and discussion.

Awesome FCA Event: We were able to bring in "The Chalk Guy" Ben Glenn to share his testimony and amazing talent with us during and inspiring evening. Ben also spoke during the school day and invited everyone to attend the faith based evening event. The High School gym bleachers were packed as Ben shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Eau Claire Area Huddle

(Students from Memorial, North, Altoona, Osseo & Fall Creek)

Meetings: We meet every Monday evening at 7pm for games, snacks, fun, a message and discussion.

Awesome FCA Fact: With students from five different schools we get to know other Christians from around the area.

Growth this Year: We took part in the first ever Eau Claire area Fields of Faith with 160 students at Carson Park. Our focus in huddles has simply been Jesus and His life.

Fun activities: Whenever the weather allows it we get out on a field and compete, often playing Tigerball (a combination of soccer, ultimate, football and handball). We have stormed the neighborhood for non-perishable food items to donate. And on random fun nights we either watch a movie or play the group favorite game: Signs!

Menomonie High School

Mascot: Mustangs

Meetings: We meet every Friday morning at 6:49am for worship, snacks, fun a message and discussion.

Leadership: We have a team of upperclassmen who meet with our adviser Coach Lichty to plan and they help carry out the weekly lessons as we grow to live more like Jesus.

Awesome FCA Fact: We load up the bus EVERY YEAR to take 40-60 kids to the Decorah, IA Sports Camp.

An activity we took part in this school year:

This Year marks the 3rd year that the Menomonie High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes has Trick or Treated for Stepping Stone Food Pantry.
Through the generous contributions of the Menomonie Community, FCA members collected 400 lbs of non-persihable items. The would like to thank the community for their support and look forward to next years drive.

Onalaska High School

Mascot: Hilltoppers

Meetings: FCA Onalaska meets every Wed morning at 6:50 am. We get about 15 to 20 students each week with three great student leaders.

An activity we took part in this school year: The students in Onalaska FCA participated in Operation Christmas Child in November. Operation Christmas Child is an organization that delivers shoe boxes to children around the world in need of a Christmas gift. The Onalaska students brought items to donate for children for two weeks. On November 16, the students packed the toys, clothing and treats in 7 shoe boxes along with a personalized note and photo from FCA. The students will be able to track the shoe boxes on line to see where they are distributed.

Eau Claire Middle School Bowling Event

Middle Schools: Northstar, DeLong & South

Annual Bowling Event: Every year the week before Spring Break we combine the three Eau Claire Middle School Huddles for an afternoon of bowling and getting to know other cool kids from the area.

How it works: We reserve Bowlwinkles Bowling Alley for about 50 kids and arrange parent or teacher drivers to get the FCA Huddles to the bowling alley. At each lane, students pair up with a friend from their school, and two kids from a different school. The top 5 bowlers (after two games) received prizes like big Powerades and FCA books or Bibles.

River Falls High School

Mascot: Wildcats

Meetings: Monday night meals provided by parents at 6:15pm at a RF Family's house. We have up to 50 students and are in our 3rd year of existence. A teacher or student leader will share a message. Recently we have been going through a five week "Purpose Driven Life" series.

Favorite Activities: Ski ball, basketball, Golden Tee... the house we meet in has it all for before and after meetings!

Awesome FCA Fact: Though our meeting attendance fluctuates, we ALWAYS have more than 20 students, and sometimes into the 50's!

An activity we took part in this school year: Our goal is one service project a month, a few we have done this year are: Delivering meals for Thanksgiving, sponsoring a local family for Christmas, a Hoops for Hannah benefit for a student who has a serious illness, and helping paint a Habitat for Humanity house.
