Soccer Camp

Grades K-6th
EastBay Soccer Complex, Wausau

On a beautiful Friday, August 9, a soccer camp was held at the Eastbay Complex. Coaches from MC United & Wausau City, along with players from the clubs, came together to play soccer, and for a higher purpose.

All the coaches love the game of soccer. Sharing it is a highlight of our lives! The fun, camaraderie, and excitement make it a great game to play. But the core of what brought us together was the Gospel. Soccer is a fun game, but the Gospel changes lives! Each group took a time out to listen to God’s word. We talked about “Emmanuel”: God with us. Win or lose, school or home, with friends or in lonely times, God is with. And we can choose to invite that Jesus in.

About 40 kids had a great time, and the message that gives life was offered.

Fields of Faith

Fields of Faith is a student led event. Students invite, pray for, share with, and challenge their peers to read the Bible and follow Jesus Christ. An athletic field provides a neutral, rally point where a community can come together. In our area DC Everest and Stratford had a wonderful gathering for Fields of Faith.
