Camps

Undefeated is the 2015 FCA camp theme. A special season of competition emerges and allows an athlete or coach to achieve a string of wins each week that culminates into a championship. The competitor goes down into the record books as having never lost a contest…a perfect season. They have the rare opportunity to say, “I am undefeated.”

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!”  1 Corinthians 15:57

I was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on the Naval Base where my dad was stationed. We moved back to Eau Claire, WI where I started kindergarten and ended up graduating from Eau Claire North and then UW-Eau Claire. I went onto Luther Seminary to become an ordained pastor and while serving as a pastor in Edgar I started coaching and then started a FCA huddle, coaching at the sports camp in Decorah, going to the couple’s retreats, became an FCA board member, and was hired to be on staff starting September 2008.

Family: I’m married to Rebekah and have two adult children and three grandsons.

Sports: I played basketball and baseball in high school. I also tried one year of football and cross country. I ended up playing a lot of fast pitch softball as a pitcher and now I do a lot of running, some biking, some snowshoeing, and I love ultimate Frisbee. I am trying to golf, too. I coach girls basketball and softball and do officiating in my spare time—soccer, basketball, softball, and baseball.

FCA's pull on me: I was invited to join FCA my junior year of high school at EC North and it changed my life, in fact it was through FCA that I felt God calling me into ministry. Now ministry has led me back to full time FCA staff where God is doing incredible things in North Central Wisconsin.
